Male Enhancement Supplement Reddit: Why Forum Posts Are Weak Evidence
Forum threads give anonymous opinions that cannot be verified, so they are weak evidence for any supplement. Some posts are disguised ads, which the FTC treats as endorsements that need disclosure. This site quotes no forum posts. Use threads to find questions to ask a clinician, not answers.

The limits01
Why are forum posts weak evidence?
Because nobody can check who wrote them, what they took or what else changed.
A thread is a set of unverified claims, filtered by who chose to post. It leaves out the quiet majority and favors strong stories. NIH notes that effects of combination products cannot be predicted (NIH ODS, Exercise supplements), so one person's report says little about the next.
Disguised ads02
What about posts that are really ads?
The FTC says endorsements must disclose a material connection, such as free product or pay.
Its endorsement guidance covers posts on social media and forums, and its fake-review rule bans undisclosed insider reviews (FTC, Endorsement Guides Q&A). A post that praises one brand with a link, a code or a story that reads like copy deserves suspicion. FDA lists personal testimonials among its health-fraud signs (FDA, 6 Tip-offs to Rip-offs).

What are threads good for?
For finding questions, not answers.
A thread can tell you which side effects people ask about or which labels confuse. Take those questions to a clinician or a source. The reviews page and the editorial standards show how this site treats opinion.
Tick the lines you see. Each one lights a flag and a one-line reason.
Reasons drawn from (FDA, Tainted Sexual Enhancement) (FDA, Bodybuilding Products) (FDA, Testosterone Information) (FDA 101: Dietary Supplements) (FDA, Q&A on Dietary Supplements) (FDA, Structure/Function Claims) (21 CFR 101.36 (eCFR)) (FDA, 6 Tip-offs to Rip-offs) (FTC, Health Products Guidance) (FTC, Fake Reviews Rule (2024)) (FTC, Endorsement Guides Q&A). A clean checklist is not proof a product is safe: FDA says a product missing from its warning lists is not thereby safe.
