SodaPeak Celebrity Endorsement: This Site Claims None, and What the FTC Requires

An endorsement must reflect the honest opinion of the endorser, and paid or gifted relationships should be disclosed clearly.

The FTC's guidance adds that endorsers cannot describe experiences with a product they have not tried, and that fake likes and fabricated engagement are deceptive (FTC, Endorsement Guides Q&A). The review rule bans fake or false reviews and testimonials, including fake celebrity ones and AI-generated ones (FTC, Fake Reviews Rule (2024)).

Because a familiar face borrows trust. FDA lists personal testimonials among its tip-offs to health fraud.

FDA says testimonials are easy to fabricate and that one product that does it all, a quick fix or a secret ingredient are further warning signs (FDA, 6 Tip-offs to Rip-offs). A famous name does not change any of that. It is the same pitch with a better-known face.
