A forum can be useful because people share odd side effects and shipping stories. It is also easy to game, because accounts are cheap and the reader cannot check any claim. We cannot see threads about SodaPeak, so this post offers a way to read any thread rather than a verdict on a particular one.

What do the FTC rules say about fake reviews?
The FTC bans fake or false reviews and testimonials, review suppression and undisclosed insider reviews, and the rule covers third-party platforms.
The rule took effect October 21, 2024, and lets courts impose civil penalties for knowing violations. Paying for positive reviews is prohibited even on third-party platforms, and insiders must clearly disclose their relationship (FTC, Reviews Rule Q&A). A forum post with no disclosure is not necessarily fake, but nothing guarantees it is honest.
