Is a Testosterone Booster a Steroid? What the Label Lists and What FDA Warns About
A listed herbal blend is not a steroid, and SodaPeak's label names no steroid. But FDA warns that some bodybuilding products sold as supplements contain hidden steroids or steroid-like drugs, and a label cannot rule that out. The risk is about what is undeclared, so ask for a lab report and see a clinician about any symptoms.

The difference01
What is the difference between a supplement and a steroid?
A steroid used for bulking is a drug. A supplement is a food-category product with a label of ingredients.
SodaPeak's panel lists eight names: horny goat weed, tongkat ali, saw palmetto, nettle, wild yam, sarsaparilla, orchic substance and a boron chelate. None is named as a steroid. That is what is declared. It is not a test of what is in the capsule.
What FDA warns02
What does FDA say about hidden steroids?
That some bodybuilding products marketed as supplements contain steroids or steroid-like drugs, and that these can cause serious harm.
FDA's page lists reported harms including liver injury, kidney damage, mood changes, heart attack and stroke (FDA, Bodybuilding Products). It also warns more widely about tainted products sold for sexual enhancement or bodybuilding (FDA, Tainted Sexual Enhancement).

A myth03
Does a plant name make something a steroid?
No. Names such as wild yam and sarsaparilla get linked with hormones online, which sources do not support.
Memorial Sloan Kettering reports estrogenic effects for wild yam and, for sarsaparilla, no safety data and only lab signals (MSK, Smilax glabra). Neither source calls them steroids in a capsule. The hidden drugs guide explains how contamination differs from an ingredient.
